Our class book this half term is ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ by Roald Dahl. We will create our own play scripts based on our class novel and use drama to think about how the characters feel at different parts of the story. In our English lessons we will also write diary entries and letters as characters from our book. We will focus on using the correct punctuation in our writing and using a dictionary and thesaurus to help us.

Mixture Making Machine
Our topic this half term is ‘Mixture Making Machine’. During our topic lessons we will focus on the digestive system. We will look at the different types of teeth animals and humans have in order to help them eat different types of food. We will also focus on constructing and interpreting a variety of food chains and using a wide range of vocabulary. We will also look at the basic parts of the digestive system in humans and complete lots of fun experiments!
This half term we will be focussing on the following questions:
How special is the relationship Jews have with God?
Do sacred texts have to be ‘true’ to help people understand their religion?
Does participating in worship help people to feel closer to God or their faith community?
In PSHE our topic this term is ‘Relationships’. We are going to discuss how to be aware of our feelings and emotions and about the different relationships we have with people in our lives.
Art and Design
In our Art lessons we will look at pieces of artwork from David Hockney. We will develop our sketching, painting and computer skills whilst looking in depth at his art work.
